New EMA coordinator named for Champaign County

Champaign County Sheriff Dan Walsh has appointed John Dwyer as the new coordinator of the Champaign County Emergency Management Agency.  Dwyer has served as deputy director of Champaign County EMA for the past two years.  Before joining Champaign County EMA, Dwyer worked at the Champaign Urbana Public Health District.  He has a masters degree in public health and serves as a lieutenant colonel in the Illinois Air National Guard.  Dwyer succeeds John Carlson, who left the agency on February 1.
